CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION

In addition to staying abreast of new technologies, innovation means creating solutions tailored to your specific technical and financial needs.

SYNERGY AND TEAMWORK

Ocean Group has hundreds of state-of-the-art equipment pieces, but none of them can singlehandedly tow a ship or perform deep-water dredging without our professionals working in harmony and sharing pride in a job well done.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

All accidents and incidents can be avoided and business objectives must never be pursued to the detriment of safety and the environment. This principle allows us, among other things, to maintain a high performance level while protecting our team, our clients and the environment.

Engagement Communautaire

Environmental

AT THE HEART OF OUR VALUES!

The environment is an integral part of our values and concerns. That is why we aim to carry out our activities while respecting our surroundings and always seeking out better sustainable practices that apply to our operations.

We are fully aware of our responsibility and we commit to this approach on a daily basis through the concrete and lasting actions we take to reduce our environmental footprint.

CONCRETE APPROACH AND ACTIONS

  • Green-marine.org certification

A voluntary environmental certification program for the North American marine industry that helps to reduce its environmental footprint by taking concrete actions that go beyond legal requirements.

  • An internal environment committee to improve our day-to-day practices and make our approach and activities environmentally friendly, all based on employee involvement.
  • Work at the source to reduce the quantity of our waste, including:
    • Elimination of single-use water bottles at our operating sites, avoiding the waste of approximately 52,000 bottles to date
    • Selective recycling of plastic safety equipment
    • Recycling of computer equipment.

Health safety

A CONSTANT PRIORITY!

The safety of our employees and visitors is our priority. Our employees are our most valuable asset and we believe that no task or work should ever be pursued to the detriment of their health and safety. We are doing everything we can to provide our employees with a safe working environment and conditions that respect their health.

This principle is a major focus for us. The rules and measures that we have developed are there to ensure their safety and that of our operations. Our employees must apply them diligently.

CONCRETE APPROACH AND ACTIONS

  • A training centre that allows our employees to receive the training they need to do their work safely
  • A rigorous audit process to identify and control potential risks efficiently
  • A reduction in the frequency of lost-time accidents by more than half for all of our operations since 2012, an average of 10% per year.
