The new 25-metre tug pays tribute to a committed employee who is respected by his peers.
Isle-aux-Coudres, 2013 – The construction of this tug, the third in the Intrépide series, at Ocean Industries confirms the shipyard’s expertise and status as a leader in shipbuilding.
This 25-metre tug, built at a cost of $10.6 million, is equipped with water cannons that have an output capacity of 1,200 cubic metres per hour, the equivalent of five fire trucks. It is powered by two omnidirectional Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) propellers and two engines with an output of 4,000 hp.
Pierre Julien joined the Ocean Group team in 2001 and has been Executive Vice President – Special Projects since 2014.
