COOPERATION FOR DREDGING WATERWAYS IN JAMAICA

In Jamaica, and more broadly in the Caribbean, West Indies and Bahamas, Ocean Dredging provides a wide range of services, including the reconstruction of banks and eroded beaches through backfilling operations as well as the land reclamation. Our first dredging contract in Jamaica contrat first dredging contract  dates back to 2017.

In order to facilitate marine traffic, we also carry out the removal of sediment in deep water, decontamination, maintenance, deepening, widening or expansion of access channels, berths and turning basins used by the largest vessels. 

Ocean Dredging has been involved in large-scale marine engineering infrastructure projects in the Caribbean, Central America and Canada, including the development of new seaports and waterways, beach nourishment, land reclamation for hotels, trenching for cable laying, construction and maintenance of bridges, dams, locks, jetties, breakwaters and more.

INVESTMENTS OVER AT LEAST 10 YEARS

As part of our development plan, in 2018, we signed a 10-year agreement with the Jamaica Port Authority to provide towing services to the Port of Kingston. This includes the implementation of state-of-the-art equipment and the hiring and training of local staff. Our program now includes about 40 people.
