We are actively seeking an Engineer Officer to perform various repairs and maintenance on tugs in the Port of Montreal.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

• Perform preventive maintenance according to procedures and guidelines.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance of the engine room and all equipment on board.
• Dismantle, repair, and reinstall equipment related to main diesel engines, auxiliary diesel engines, hydraulic valves, water pumps, and electrical systems onboard the vessel.
• Follow preventive maintenance system tasks.
• Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:

• Canadian 4^th Class Marine Engineer’s Certificate
• Certificates of competency:
  • MED Basic Safety STCW
  • Ability to operate lifeboats and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats [PSC]
  • Advanced firefighting techniques certificate
• Valid Marine Medical Certificate;
• Minimum of three to five years experience at sea as an engineer (asset)
• Restricted radio operator certificate (asset)
• Ability to work on a computer in a Microsoft Office environment
• Languages: intermediate level in French or English, spoken and written
