What attracted you to the maritime industry, and Ocean Group in particular?

First, the smaller size of Ocean shipyards compared to other companies fosters a very family atmosphere within the team, which I find very pleasant. Moreover, being part of a small, specialized team allows us to work on a wider range of projects and mandates.

What aspects of your role do you find most rewarding?

It gives me great satisfaction to see my plans and projects come to fruition. It's a real pleasure to see my creations being used on various vessels (tugs or icebreakers) on the St. Lawrence River!

Can you share with us a moment with your team or an outstanding project in your career at Ocean Group?

The dry docking of the MV Jos-Deschênes II ferry was an incredible moment for me! At the very last moment, a major problem was discovered with the vessel's mooring plan. I had just started working for Ocean Group then, and had to redo the plan as quickly (and as well) as possible! I was able to accomplish this rather complex feat, and the docking went off without a hitch!
