Ocean Group, winner of the first Maritime Cup

The first edition of the Maritime Cup was held at the Videotron Center in Québec on February 27. This first friendly hockey tournament, initiated by QSL, opposed four companies in the Canadian maritime industry. Ocean Group, QSL, CSL Group and Fednav offered a total of $20,000, to be divided according to the final ranking of each team. The companies were then free to donate the prize money to the foundation or organization of their choice.

Thanks to a superb victory in the final match against ocean-going bulk carrier Fednav, we are pleased to donate $10,000 to the community organization Le Pignon Bleu, whose mission is to contribute to the food security of children and families, support child development and contribute to the training and integration into the workforce of unemployed people in Québec. Another $10,000 was shared between the organizations Mariners’ House in Montréal and Jeunes Musiciens du Monde.

We are committed to the well-being of our employees and our communities, and as such, we participate in numerous programs by supporting causes that are important to us. Our commitment affects not only children, but also our communities.

Ocean Group will have to defend its title next year! We firmly believe that this event will grow and will provide even more money to the organizations that make a difference day after day!
