Millions of barrels of crude oil to manoeuvre
Québec, since 1972 – Since the very beginning of its towing operations, Ocean Group has performed all docking and undocking manoeuvres for the oil tankers at the wharf of Valero Energy – Jean Gaulin Refinery in Lévis.
Each operation requires the services of three tugs. The first tug is tied to the rear of the tanker, and the two others are tied up on the sides to push or pull it as needed.
Absolute safety is a major concern and is prioritized at all times. Procedures, including a response plan, have been carefully developed down to the last detail in order to give peace of mind to our client, as well as to the staff aboard the oil tankers and tugs.
